CONSTRUCTION SYSTEM
The Mall “Porte di Catania” consists of a multi-storey building built in 4 batches
each comprise more bodies spliced together.Structural features:
FIRST FLOOR PLAN LOT 1
Lot 1:
- 2 floors above ground;
- Section 70×70 and 70×60 cm pillars (tapered);
- Mesh pillars 16,00×8,00 m and 16,00×16,00 m;
- First deck slab formed by tiled vigor 50 cm beams and cross beams at overturns;
- Attic roof tiles formed by TTL 50 cm beams to cross;
- Overall height of deck varies from 5.60 to 5.80 m for the inter-slab and 5.50 to 6.14 m for the deck covering.
SECTIONS LOT 1
Lot 2A:
- 2 floors above ground;
- Section 70×70 and 70×60 cm pillars (tapered);

INTENDED USE
Inside the “Mall Porte di Catania” the ground floor and the basement of lot 1 and part of Lot 2, are home to the shopping arcade, the hypermarket and offices. The cover of the same batch is instead used for parking discovered. At the mall are located, on the north and south sides of the building, the main entrances to the center that open onto spacious distribution.
Lots 3:04 hosting instead the ground floor covered parking and first floor parking discovered, both in communication with the mall.CLADDING WALL
They consist of horizontal panels in the AC insulated, thick 24 cm, width of 2.50 m and 16.00 m in length, with a pearly finish grit of Sicily on matrix of white concrete that form rectangular patterns made with false joints.
